Fundraising and the launch of Bunker

More and more institutions are opting to self custody their assets as custodians continue to struggle with issues ranging from security to operations to solvency. The intersection of two forces, struggles with private key management and increasing self custody, creates a ticking time bomb. One we have seen detonate numerous times in recent years at even the most well intentioned firms.

Counterparty risk remains a top concern as we enter what looks to be the next market cycle. Together with Dr. Adam Everspaugh and a team of world class engineers, we are building Station70 to defuse it.

Launching Bunker

Today marks a special day as we launch our first product, Bunker. It is a foundational product that brings decades of experience to bear on one goal: simplifying private key backup and recovery.

Bunker is offered in Standard and Enterprise configurations, each built on the same underlying cryptography, security, and core technology. Enterprise adds advanced configurations, tailored compliance features, customized regulatory and audit reporting, and insurance.

Enterprise customers also gain access to our Recovery Response Service, a technology service that aids in the setup, configuration, and implementation of our failover wallet architecture. In the event of an outage at a primary wallet provider, customers get back to trading faster and safer than with any other product available today. This matters most because outages often occur during periods of high market volatility.

What comes next

We envision an industry where trust and safety are core features, not afterthoughts. To get there, infrastructure needs to be secure, efficient, and scalable while enabling the business. We see Bunker as the first of many products to that end.

In the coming weeks we will be putting Bunker to the test with a number of customers as we drive toward a generally available release. We have a lot of work to do between now and then. Stay tuned.
